OBJECTIVE: |
|
To recognize and financially reward selected Georgia
high school graduates to obtain a teaching degree in honor and memory
of Dr. Charles McDaniel, formerly the State Superintendent of Schools
for the State of Georgia.

| |
ELIGIBILITY: |
- Be a legal resident of Georgia;
- Be a graduate of a Georgia public high school;

Be enrolled in a Georgia public college as a full-time undergraduate;

Be classified as a Junior or Senior level student and admitted to the department
of education of the college;
- Have a cumulative grade average of 3.25 or higher;
- Indicate a strong desire to be a teacher.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES: |
- One nomination form is sent to the department of education at each eligible college
- Each college may only nominate one student.
- The nominee and college officials complete the nomination form and submit it to GSFC.
- Recipients are selected by GSFC from the pool of nominees.
