CHARLES MCDANIEL TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP

Application

 

OBJECTIVE:

To recognize and financially reward selected Georgia high school graduates to obtain a teaching degree in honor and memory of Dr. Charles McDaniel, formerly the State Superintendent of Schools for the State of Georgia.

 

FUNDING:

Private Fund

 

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Be a legal resident of Georgia;
  2. Be a graduate of a Georgia public high school;
  3. Be enrolled in a Georgia public college as a full-time undergraduate;
  4. Be classified as a Junior or Senior level student and admitted to the department of education of the college;
  5. Have a cumulative grade average of 3.25 or higher;
  6. Indicate a strong desire to be a teacher.
 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

  1. One nomination form is sent to the department of education at each eligible college
  2. Each college may only nominate one student.
  3. The nominee and college officials complete the nomination form and submit it to GSFC.
  4. Recipients are selected by GSFC from the pool of nominees.
 

AWARD:

$1,000 per academic year
