A big part of the high school experience is getting ready for the college experience. High school students
should be giving serious thought to career and college choices. And it’s time to get really serious about figuring out
how to pay for your higher education.

There are several things high school students must do to prepare for college. Among these are making sure you have good grades in your
core classes, taking the SAT or ACT, visiting college fairs and/or college campuses, applying for college admission and applying for financial
aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

As you make your plans for college, remember that your high school counselor has a tremendous
amount of experience in this area. Take advantage of that resource.
