The Georgia Student Finance Commission Board of Commissioners, the Georgia Student Finance Authority and Georgia Higher Education Assistance Corporation Board of Directors establish standards, regulations and policies for the operation of the Commission and its entities. Board members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. The term of each member is six years.

The Board meets quarterly on the first Friday in February, May, August, and November. Exact meeting dates for the coming year are set at the Board’s May meeting. Below are dates and locations for currently scheduled meetings.

The Secretary of the GSFC Board of Commissioners prepares documents to keep the public informed of board business. These include agendas of upcoming meetings, brief summaries prepared immediately after each meeting, and official minutes which provide detailed descriptions of each meeting.
