Chat Session to offer free career planning advice
Individuals who are planning a career or seeking a career change can get free advice by participating in an Internet Chat Session on Thursday, March 22, from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. EST.
Expert career and financial aid counselors will be available to answer questions and make recommendations. Participants can log on to www.gsfc.org, the Web site for the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) which administers the Georgia HOPE Scholarship Program.
The live interactive event will be available nationwide and is sponsored by a group of guaranty agencies, including GSFC.
Participants will learn about:
- Career planning and education requirements
- Setting career goals
- Determining the best career
- Resources for additional assistance or information about careers
- Job search techniques
Anyone with Internet access can join the Chat Session by logging on to www.gsfc.org and clicking on Mapping Your Future. Pre-registration also is available, and a reminder is sent out a few days before the event.
